"How much does Gingr cost?" is one of the questions Google shows most often when people search for kennel software, and the answer is more involved than a single number. Gingr publishes its prices, which is more than some competitors do, but the plan you need depends on which services you sell and whether you use Gingr's own card processing. This is how the pricing works, using the figures on Gingr's pricing page as we checked them in October 2026.

Gingr sets its own prices and can change them at any time. Treat everything below as a guide and check gingrapp.com/pricing before you decide. We're a competitor, so we've stuck to what Gingr publishes.

Gingr's plans and prices

Gingr names its plans after the kind of business they're for.

PlanBuilt forMonthly billingAnnual billing (per month)
SpaGrooming and training (appointments)$109$100
PlayDaycare: day reservations and capacity management$169$142
StayBoarding: overnight reservations, kennel and room management$179 with Gingr payments, $209 without$154 with Gingr payments, $179 without
EnterpriseMultiple locationsCustom pricing through sales

All plans list the same core: the mobile app, integrated payments, marketing tools, automated notifications, custom configuration, retail, staff management, live support and Gingr's training resources, reporting, a customer portal and Gingr PreCheck. Onboarding is described as included.

The plan is set by your services

Because the plans map to business types, the services you sell decide what you pay. A groomer can sit on Spa. A daycare needs Play. Once you take overnight stays, you're on Stay. If you board, run daycare in the week and have a groomer in on Thursdays, you're buying Stay.

That matters if you plan to grow. Adding boarding to a daycare means moving from $169 to $179 or $209 a month on monthly billing.

The $30 payments difference

The Stay price comes with a footnote: "Pricing shown with active Integrated Payments." Without Gingr's payments, Stay is $209 a month on monthly billing instead of $179. That's $360 a year for processing cards somewhere else.

Card processing has its own cost on top of the subscription, charged per transaction. Before you commit, ask Gingr for the exact rate you'd pay at your volume, and whether any extra fees apply to card-not-present payments, so you can compare the total.

Add-ons to ask about

Gingr's pricing page lists these as add-ons, without prices:

  • Integrated payment processing
  • Employee scheduling
  • 2-way SMS (US and Canada)
  • A messaging bundle covering SMS, pictures, video and campaigns

Text messaging is usually the one that changes the total most for a busy kennel, because reminders, confirmations and "ready for collection" messages add up quickly. Ask what SMS would cost at the number of messages you send in a normal month and in your busiest month.

What Gingr costs over a year

Using the published subscription prices only, before payments, SMS or other add-ons:

PlanPer year on monthly billingPer year on annual billing
Spa$1,308$1,200
Play$2,028$1,704
Stay, with Gingr payments$2,148$1,848
Stay, without Gingr payments$2,508$2,148

Annual figures are Gingr's per-month annual price multiplied by 12.

Contracts, trials and migration

Gingr offers monthly and annual billing. Its pricing page says terms are available on request, so ask whether there's a minimum term and what happens if you cancel partway through an annual plan. The page doesn't mention a free trial; Gingr offers demos. Data import is described as "multiple data import options" with no price given, so ask whether moving your existing customers and bookings in costs anything.

Who owns Gingr

Gingr is part of Togetherwork, a group that also owns Revelation Pets and, since November 2024, PetExec. Enquiries about PetExec are now routed to Gingr. That doesn't change what Gingr costs today, but it's worth knowing when you're comparing what look like three separate options.

Questions to ask before you sign

  1. Which plan do I need for every service I offer now and plan to offer next year?
  2. What's my total monthly cost with SMS and every add-on I'd use switched on?
  3. What card processing rate would I pay, and what are all the fees?
  4. Is there a minimum term, and what does cancelling an annual plan cost?
  5. Is data migration free, and who does the work?

How KennelBooker compares on price

We price differently. Every KennelBooker plan includes boarding, cattery, daycare, grooming, training, board and train, dog walking, homestay and point of sale, and the plans are sized by capacity instead of by service. They start at $49.99 a month for up to 10 boarding rooms and 10 daycare spaces, then go to $65.99 (30 rooms), $94.99 (60 rooms) and $122.99 (100 rooms, unlimited daycare). Annual billing takes 12% off.

Your subscription is the same whether or not you use our card payments, and we show you our all-in payment rate for your country before you switch payments on. There's no contract, no setup fee and no cancellation fee, and we'll migrate your data from Gingr for free. There's a side-by-side comparison on our Gingr alternative page, and a wider look at the market in the best kennel management software in 2026.
